Nice to meet you!

I'm Claire Xu. I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2017 with a BFA degree in Graphic Design.

Prior to college, I trained with traditional mediums. I started out with basic graphite and charcoal drawing, and eventually moved up to oil painting. After picking up oil painting, I found the opportunity to continue expanding my foundational skills with colored pencils, markers, ink, gouache, and acrylic paints.

My interest in art started to shift away from traditional mediums, and I became more interested in Graphic Design. My interests include, but are not limited to, the modern branding identity and language, influence of internet behavior on marketing strategies, and multi-platform universally compatible graphics.
