Nice to meet you

I'm Claire  Xu. I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a BFA in Graphic Design.

Prior to college, I was classically trained in drawing with basic graphite and charcoal tools. Eventually, I moved up to oil painting where I continued to expand my foundational skills with colored pencils, markers, ink, gouache, and acrylic paints.

Later, toward the end of senior year of high school, I became more interested in the fields of Graphic Design. My interest largely lies in marketing, including (but not limited to) the aesthetics of marketing shaped by technology, the digital world, and internet behavior. My methods of design takes into consideration the multimedia experience, observing the difference in print and digital design, and finding ways to integrate the two together.
